Description
The fibers rest within loose tubes made of high modulus plastics filled with water-blocking materials. These
tubes, along with insulated copper wires, are stranded around a non-metallic central strength member, form-
ing a compact, circular cable core. A water-blocking tape is applied to prevent water ingress. Finally, the cable
is encased in a protective PE sheath for completion.
